He is the Way, the Truth & the Life

Remember, AHBC mission is "Bringing the First Light of Christ to Aurora and beyond....

We are a congregation that believes:

We are to become disciples of Christ – asked to lead others to Christian Discipleship and being accountable to Christ to grow His Kingdom.

That the Bible is the inspired Word of God.  It is complete, infallible, and is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.       2 Timothy 3:16

That the shed of blood of Jesus Christ is the only atonement for sin, that man cannot do anything to save himself.  Romans 3:19,23,25

In the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  His is the mediator between God and man.  His is the living Lord of the Bible, and the living Lord of today.  His is the head of the Church.  I Timothy 2:5

In the Trinity of God.  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.   2 Corinithians 13:14

In Believer's Baptism.  First time converts are baptized by immersion, which is taught in the New Testament. Re-baptism is also encouraged for those who want to experience of being washed clean and born again to the service of the Lord.   Romans 6:1-10

In the Great Commission of Christ.  Therefore, we endeavor to win people to a saving knowledge of Christ at home and abroad.     Matthew 28:19-20

It is the obligation of the saved to witness by life and word to these truths and to proclaim the Gospel to all the world.  Acts 1:18, 2 Corinthians 5:19,20

That Christian conduct is a vital part of everyone’s life.  This means every area of life is provided by the glory and blessing of God and that each Christian should seek to honor God.   James 1:19-27

The coming of Christ is eminent and is the bodily resurrection of the save and lost, the eternal existence of all people in either heaven or hell, in divine judgment, rewards and punishments.     Matthew 24:36-39

You can feel good  about...  Yourself.  You are unique  and special.  You are important to God, others and us.  The Bible promises an abundant life and offers it to you.

You can feel good  about...   Your Family.  Experience a loving and happy home.  Your investment here will yield a life long dividend.

You can feel good  about...  Your Friends.  Here you will find friends that will lift you up and inspire you.  You will find groups that welcome you with a sense of belonging.

You can feel good  about...   Your Church.   Its comforting to know there's a place that exists where you can worship God and discover His purposes for your life.

Do you know your 5 Purposes in Life ?  We are designed to help people......  We are to

CENTER our lives on God, not ourselves, and live a lifestyle of worship for the glory of God, because we are planned for God's pleasure.   This begins with the complete surrender of our lives to Christ.   Your 1st Purpose in Life = WORSHIP

CONNECT with other believers who experience real fellowship, because we are formed for God's family.  This includes identifying with other believers through baptism, joining a local church family and participating in some kind of small group fellowship.

Your 2nd Purpose in Life = FELLOWSHIP

CULTIVATE spiritual maturity and godly character, because we are created to become like Christ.  This includes developing the habits necessary for spiritual growth.

Your 3rd Purpose in Life = DISCIPLESHIP

CONTRIBUTE something back by using our talents in ministry because we are shaped for serving God.  This includes discovering your SHAPE for ministry and finding a place of service in your church.  Your 4th Purpose in Life = MINISTRY

COMMUNICATE God's love to other and develop a heart for the world, because we are made for a mission.  This includes learning to share your faith and participating in some kind of mission activity.  Your 5th Purpose in Life = MISSION / EVANGELISM

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”.    Ephesians 2:10 NIV
"Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word." Psalm 119:37
